Alfred State Archery is a club sport that competes in all disciplines: 3D, Indoor, Outdoor Target.  The Team has operated since 2016-17.  While all students may join the archery club recreationally, the travel team is competitive and commonly attends 3D Collegiate Championships, Indoor Nationals, East Region Outdoor Championships, and the National Collegiate Outdoor Target Championships.  

Alfred State Archery has won over 20 USA Archery event medals, crowned an individual National Champion, an All-American, 3 Academic-All American awards, and 4 all-region archers.  

For 2021-22, Alfred State Archery will be offering a limited number of archery scholarships to new incoming (first year) or transfer students. Scholarship awards are for $500 and are renewable the second year.Evaluation criteria includes demonstrated results at any of the following:USA Archery sanctioned events including NYS indoor and outdoor championships, (2) sanctioned ASA events including state qualifiers, (3) NFAA events including regional sectionals, (4) RBD Known Triple Classic, (5) IBO sanctioned events (6) S3DA events, (7) NYFAB, ( NASP, (9) appearances at national or major regional events such as the Lancaster Classic.The archer’s total performances and experiences will be objectively considered against the total number of available awards.Second year renewal would require an active USA Archery collegiate membership, a GPA above 2.0, and active participation with the team.
